My old Craftsman stacked toolbox is too small now. I bought a set of T-handle Allen wrenches and have no room in my box for them and no place on the wall to hang them.

I found a top-bottom set that I like but I just can't bring myself to wright the check.

And that is just as frustrating as having no room for them.
Have you considered shadowing out your tools in the drawers? I made a 2nd layer tray in one of my deep drawers that easily removes and put my lesser-used tools on the bottom. Gave me twice the space in one drawer.

Here's a few examples of the shadowing. No pictures of the tray. I have one drawer dedicated to t-handles and Allen packs.

Wife once won a trip in her office some 15 ish years ago with IBM. They flew us out to SF and she had to attend one or two hr long meetings then... She was given a $3500 stipend to spend on while there for the long weekend (4 days I think it was). Couldn't buy souvenirs or tangible goods but could take trips/eat anywhere etc.

We were able to fly in a biplane to SF. It was about 100degrees where we took off from and 70ish in SF. Like to froze to death. Took a catamaran sailing trip around Alcatraz, went to see the redwoods, wine country. Ate at an Awesome place "The Stinking Rose"...

Anyway we ate very well did all that stuff and still couldn't spend it all. It's not how we live, we needed a few more trips to get the hang of it, although she never won another. I'm ok with not being a spend thrift nor she.

Ever since we got married, my wife never followed our finances. She would ask me if she could spend x amount and I would tell her no, which was usually the case starting out 28 years ago.

She still doesn't follow the finances, she doesn't even have the bank app on her phone. Obviously she has access to everything but she doesn't worry about it.

Even now, if we have say 2grand in 1 of the accounts ( we use a couple different banks) , I will tell her 750.

Now if she really needed something it would be different but frivolous spending....she can get a job.

STAB STAB STAB.... let's try your other arm....

NOOOOOooooo!!!! Please find the lady that knows how to do it. There's always one in a hospital somewhere.

Ahhhh. Thanks. 🙃
Sigh. The physician's assistant at the clinic where I go is like that. She's been there for quite a while now, but every year when I go in for my physical she can't seem to find a vein when she tries to draw blood. Often as not, she screws up the BP check too. Talent pool isn't very deep around here.

The difference is many in
Medical have the degrees but often short on the practical.

Back when Diploma nurses were the norm or someone starting on the floor and working their way up today it’s University Bachelor of Science… book smart but still more to learn.

Moms arms were back and blue from blood draws during her last hospital stay and she was not happy about it and said so…

The phlebotomists here tend to be amazing. The rest of the talent pool is..., yeah, not so great at times. We seem to have something like a 50% staffing in ultrasound technicians around here; salary, too many retirements, I don't know.

More than half of all RNs, MDs, and semi drivers plan to retire in the next decade. It is going to get interesting for sure.

I think part of it is that for many professions we hire and promote by certificates and degrees rather than skills. In the medical professions, I agree 100% with @ultrarunner; I've seen more than a few professionals with advanced degrees that seemed to lack skills. Even in our local blood center, I've had more than a few RNs stick the heavy gauge needle all the way through the vein and out the other side, and I have big, easy veins. I don't know why it is ten times more painful going out the other side, but for me it sure feels that way.

But like anything, I think that it varies. I treasure the great ones, and avoid the others when possible.

For me, the same is true of painters, mechanics...

All the best,

Peter

Wow, talk about tool art. Reminds me of an old time printers box.
If my drawers looked like yours I might be tempted to hang a pic of that tool art on the wall.

We call the Martin's in Granger the Gucci Martin's. :ROFLMAO:

They have so much different selection than the one on the west side of South Bend.
The Martin's on Mishawaka Road (CR20) just west of US 33 has a lot of different selections than the one in Goshen.

Scored another Echo String Trimmer and Blower…

It was a gift since now illegal to operate in my city.

Amazing what folks get rid of.
