I have a John Deere 3038e, 2018 490hrs and just washed (garden hose, not pressure wash) foam cannon & rinse. Putting it away on dash warning said "PTO coil fault". Never happened before & just a 10 minute wash. After idling warning went off & PTO works fine.
I'm trying to figure out what would be that water sensitive?
The main problem is I had ROPs down and lifting back blade bent the top link 1/2" O.D. pipe on it (third time I've done that!). Will this Surplus Center kit work?
If I mount link upside down hoses won't reach. Any ideas how to protect/prevent it from happening?
Thanks...

Could you get that piece made as a hose?

You got me thinking maybe limit how far the ROPs can drop down.

I doubt it.
It has a banjo fitting.
If its a imperial sized banjo bolt then you can replace bajo bolts with O-Ring Boss fittings (ORB). I think the best solution is longer hoses and flip the cylinder upside down.

ORB has different threads. And the cylinder doesn't have the chamfer for the O-Ring.

The Banjo Bolts on those cylinders are typically BSPS threads. The kit you noted should fit. The link didn't work for me. When cutting the long pipe to size, be sure to debur both inside and outside of the pipe end and clean/blow it out.

Your PTO problem was likely caused by water intrusion into a connector somewhere.

Why can't a banjo fitting be crimped onto a hose?

I'm fairly sure that one of my BH hoses has a banjo fitting on the end of it ...

Or maybe build a shield over the "crush zone" to protect that area from future catastrophe's?
