We have bought half hogs and quarter cows from local farmers. I'm glad that we can still do that and I plan to keep buying from them to hopefully keep them in business!!
NO DOUBT about that, men.
Meat quality is way down.
What you could get in a supermarket 20 years ago is now about on par with what is in today’s butcher shops.
We still have cattlemen around I supply with hay, and they give me some fantastic cuts of meat.
It's not just you.I thought it was just me losing, my taste for ground beef…..
Some people’s beef is with women…Like it or not, much beef sold in stores today comes from S. America.
How this went from complaining about a woman to beef is anyone's guess.
After my 1st wife left @ 29 yrs., I was single for about 5 yrs. Met and married a fantastic woman, Oct.7 will be our 30th anniversary.
The preacher told us both this at pre-marriage counseling; " a good healthy marriage requires a 100% effort_every day." Looked at me and said, " some days you might be contributing 20% to the marriage, that means(looking at my fiance) she must work hard and contribute 80% to the marriage, and some days it will switch, but as long as you both work every day to reach 100% it will be a successful marriage".
We have never forgotten that advice,(I'm 82 DW is 79. Some days I wonder how she puts up with me though.
I pass that advice along to everyone in our family who announce they are getting married, so far no divorces.
