Was there really only one? I enjoyed the movie, but never really dug into the filming of it. I assumed any production like this would have had at least three identical vehicles used in the filming, likely with one or more of them getting specific modifications as required for specific maneuvers or stunts.

Given the reliability of vehicles at the time, I can’t imagine any producer willing to risk shutting down filming for a whole day or more, just because their only car broke.

I think there was two of them. The last I knew the other Mustang had been found in Mexico in very bad shape. The one that sold for big money was sold as a used car and a women teacher drove it for several years.

Two identical 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastbacks were used in the filming of Bullitt, with one serving as the "hero" car driven by Steve McQueen and the other used for more destructive stunts. Both were Highland Green, modified for high-speed performance, and were specially prepared by veteran racer Max Balchowsky. After filming, one car was scrapped, while the other was sold to a Warner Bros. employee and eventually bought by a collector, ultimately becoming one of the most famous movie cars in history.

“Yesterday”… a wholly improbable story where there is a ten-second, world-wide black out which, somehow, erases the history and memory of the Beatles… well, except for a select few…

Himesh Patel is one of the lucky ones, who also just happens to be a struggling artist.

Lily James (who is adorable in her own right) is his manager…

If you’re fortunate enough to watch this on DVD, let the disc play on after the credits… Himesh and his band have a recording session at Abbey Road Studios…
