All it takes is a quick search to find out more about the story. There are several other articles that can be read without having to login to anything. I found something else to verify in 30 seconds. People just don't try. Simply clicking generates revenue and articles are written for that purpose.

So the article claims NABS ( a Home dumpo/Lowes rival) is declaring bankruptcy.

Their subset data looks like it was supplied by Will Trump tariffs harm home affordability?

Why are they neglecting the other factors in building? Plumbing and electric have certainly increased. PVC is damn near unaffordable, copper can’t even be discussed. Labor rates, insurance…they missed a lot, IMO.
