Believe me, I get it.

As mentioned, it is interesting though how the rules can vary of change over time with different religions.

I'm thinking if you're a little bit extremists in your burial beliefs, if we ever get to the point of space travel outside our solar system (who knows in another 1000 years), you won't want to go.

For myself, I do believe in "for dust you are and to dust you will return", but at the end of the day, it's going to happen really no matter what.

I recently lost my Mother and the funeral home gave use cookies which were great.
The director said they bake them there which doesn't take long since their oven is at 3200°F.

I don't recall the posts from 5030 that some people found offensive, so I decided to look through some of his later posts. He was quite active earlier this year, and it was a lot of tractor-related information from his lifetime of experience.

If he said some mean things, they were buried in a lot of helpful posts that are what this site is all about. RIP.

I don't remember mean posts. His pattern of praising his stuff, strategies, and activities annoyed me way back but later, seemed kinda comical.

I sensed he turned a leaf in the past year. Many of his posts before that were very tart if you disagreed or challenged his post of a fact. His typical response would be something like, "Whatever". The last one to me was a last straw. I just ignored his posts from then on. We were the same age. RIP.

My wife once complained that, whenever we get into an argument, I always think that my opinion is right. I found this puzzling. If I didn't think my opinion was right, it wouldn't be my opinion.

I can see that happening. My father went through a cranky old man phase, but near the end of his life, he was very polite and appreciative for all the help he needed for basic living. Facing one's mortality is bound to have an effect.
