Ford New Holland 345C with 764 backhoe needs hydraulic installation kit

JJ at this point I am so frustrated with the things I am looking for someone that can hook it up. I have four new hydraulic hoses and a valve as well as some of the connectors but I just want someone that can do the installation.

If you have the correct valves and hoses, you can save yourself about $60 per hour, using the free advise found here and elsewhere.

Tell us exactly what you have and what you want, with pic's, and someone here, or elsewhere, should provide good installation instruction.

Thanks JJ but all I really want at this time is to locate a tractor or hydraulic shop that can do the fabrication & installation. I really do not fell comfortable enough to try giving it a go.

I have all the original owner's manuals, shop manuals, and the original shop parts manual.

Anyone in Western NY around the Rochester area (I am located in Dansville NY) have the knowledge & skill to tackle this fabrication & installation.

Had any luck getting the hoe plumbed yet? I have a 545D that I am gathering parts for to put the 764 hoe on too. Like you said the kit or even just the replacement lines are no longer available. Do you have the owners-installation manual? It shows how to plumb it up in there. I think I pretty much have it figured out just need to get more parts together and time to do it.

I have the original manuals for both my tractor 345C and the 764. From what I can tell I basically have everything I need to get the hookups done.

If your 545 has the remote hydraulics on the back you can operate some of the functions on the backhoe but they function very slow and jerky. From what the New Holland shop tells me the Hydraulic for the 764 have to be directly hooked up to the main lines off the pump and not the remotes. When I hookup to the remotes on the back it keeps tripping the selector ? on the valve under the drivers seat. Only way to keep the thing working hooked to the remote was to keep holding the selector open so it won't keep tripping/closing. They tell me that it really needs the Power Beyond line in order for the 764 to fully function.

I was really hopeful I could locate a new holland shop that would be able to do the full hookup. Today I talked to a private tractor repair shop that does alot of hydraulic work he said he would come out and see if its something he might try!!??

When you are hooked to the remote you are running off of a 8 gpm pump. It does need to be connected to the loader pump which is 26 gpm.

You may already know but make sure you do use the secondary relief valve in the system it is very important. Don't let anyone talk you out of that. Potential for major problems if you don't. I'm going to try and bend up the steel lines but may end up just using hydraulic hose. If you have any questions let me know. Hopefully we will both get these going soon.

Yep manuals show hookup to loader pump lines and that the secondary relief is required. I already decided to go with flexible hydraulic hoses rather than trying to bend the steel lines around the way the manual shows them installed. Part of my hesitation is my disability with multiple sclerosis limits certain movement with strength in my legs and hands but at least I am not resisted in a wheelchair.

One way or the other I will get the backhoe hydraulic installed

Please explain the secondary relief thing.

If he is going to be using the loader pump, then the FEL will have the main circuit relief, and when you install the remote, it will have a relief valve. Both reliefs should be set the same.

The loader valve is not a power beyond valve. To install the hoe you have to replumb it to the hoe first which is a power beyond valve then to the loader valve. The secondary relief is installed in the main pump line before the hoe connection. The hoe is connected by quick couplers, the power beyond from the hoe valve then feeds the loader valve. With the hoe removed you connect the pressure line in a loop back to the loader valve to feed the loader valve. If they are not connected or if it would somehow become disconnected there is no relief valve or valve body at all in the system just the pump feeding a dead end line.
