John Deere 3203
John Deere 3203 clicking when attempting to start with good battery. Does this model have starter solenoid? What else would cause a clicking sound? Appreciate any feedback.

What is the test for the battery, that causes you to say "good battery" ??

How long has the battery been in the tractor?

Do you have the service technical manual?

If not, maybe consider buying for more good detailed information.

Others more familiar with your 3203 will likely chime in for better help.

Have the battery checked again. Maybe a short that is intermittent. My bet is the battery or connections to the ground.

Sent from my iPad using TractorByNet

I'll 2nd corroded battery connection probably the ground cable. Starter magnetic switch is parts key 17 which BTW is fairly high $$$$$$$ M806256 Switch - SWITCH ASSEMBLY, MAGNETIC ADD 498.21 USD.

A reman starter is SE501878 Starter Motor Reman - STARTER, AM878415 465.13 USD

Thank you all for the responses; this problem occurred overnight, so the first thing I checked was the battery! I'll get back with you a little later......

No answers to the questions?

Sorry beenthere, I thought I had checked the battery thoroughly yesterday, the connections (+, -, ground) and my DC tester looked good. Jump start this AM went without hesitation. I'll try to charge it today.
