We have a Kubota B7500 which has had a sloppy loader control for as long as I can remember, it got to the point where the lever hit the steering wheel when you went all the way to the left (full curl).

I finally got tired of it today, took it apart and replaced the bushing for the pin that goes up and down. I think the bushing that was in there before was steel. I replaced it with a half inch copper pipe coupling which was just right diameter once I removed the old bushing with a 11/16 drill bit and was only a little bit long. I cut it shorter with a pipe cutter and it was good to go. $0.89 was a good price to tighten up the control lever for the valve.
I didn't think to get any pictures before I put it in, but here are a couple pictures with it in place and one of the old bushing after I drilled it out..

 One of those "round to it" jobs. Did it tighten things up? I was just wondering about this the other day because my joystick see's just as much use in the winter operating a vee blade.

It's amazing how complicated joysticks were thirty years ago. This is on my Kubota B9200 and uses one ball joint with a pair of pivot joints compared to the simple three ball joints of today's valve joysticks.
Would be fun to make a ball joint joystick to replace it but kinda hate to as the old girl is pretty much original and still runs great. (doesn't wear lipstick or tattoos either)

It got about three-quarters of the slop out of it. The other pin that goes across through the round part is responsible for most of the remaining slop. That one looks like it might need a 3/8 inch piece of copper pipe, but I don't have any in stock and it's enough better that I'm not going to worry about it for now.

I thought about it, but a grease zerk would cost as much as a new $0.89 bushing from Lowes :D
Might do it when the bushing wears out.
