Had trouble with the seat switch not engaging. On the HST if not in the seat (switch closed) cannot go forward or backward without the engine cutting out. This is so if you fell out of the seat the tractor would kill the engine for safety.
Not sure the exact problem with seat switch as it was intermittent at times but may have had to do with cold weather not depress fully. At any rate unplugged two wire connector and jumpered harness side with a 22AWG solid copper wire and taped to the connector. This simulated the seat switch and allowed to go without cutout. The HST pedals go to neutral anyway if not depressed and this will also stop movement but maybe not if in cruise control.
Just wanted to let everyone know this seat switch and be overridden with a jumper at your own risk This will allow you to move without being in the seat. (like the old days when we did not have all this safety stuff on tractors)
