2555 Cab, stainless exhaust tip...

Every time I cold start my 2555 she spits out black sooty water specks for a few minutes while the exhaust is warming up... It bothers me 'cuz it is pointed right at the spot I keep my yellar diesel cans, and they look like krap after a while. [ don't want to move them, either ] Procured a 2" OD stainless 90 from Amazon, they shipped it in from across the pond in a bout a month, and I put her on this morning. Was going to do something fancy, but finally just ran a stainless bolt all the way thru it and squished it down onto the about 1-3/4" OD exhaust pipe [ used a few brass washers inbetween to take up some of the slack ]. So, for $8.69 I now may have solved my dirty yellar diesel can problem.... [ sorry about the sideways picture ]

Another nice mod Jerry! I really wish mine was a vertical exhaust. I hate that sideways one though on other tractors it is a front one which can be worse if you're trying to do manual work at the front of your tractor while its running.

I had a JD 2240 for years with the exhaust exiting just underneath the left rear axle pointed backwards.... That was a lot of fun swap'n stuff on the 3pt with that thing snorting in your face.... Also spent a lot of hours in my youth eating exhaust off vertical exhaust pipes working at my Uncles's farm... There is always something to complain about....
