New to mid size tractors. Looking for some opinions.

I'm going back to the weight again. Neither tractor had the weight to stay planted, and that was after almost getting stuck themselves. The winch drug them to me. The guy with the 25hp John Deere did not want to chain the two tractors together, which might have worked or might not have. Either...

I think you hit the nail right on the head. I probably don't need a high horsepower tractor, but just a heavier framed. My only real tractor experience is from bigger tractors from the 70's. HP equals size. Lol. I also like the idea of naturally aspirated if I can get away with it. I definitely...

I'm thinking I'm gonna want a grapple now, too. Lol. Honestly, just from reading on the internet a little, I still don't know much about the different transmissions. That will be another choice to make, that I wasn't thinking about. Right there with ag or turf tires. What is the weight capacity...

I was looking at TYM for the price standpoint, as well. It seems like their dealers usually set up nice packages, from what I've seen. I don't think there are any dealers near me, would be a downfall to that, in case of warranty work, but I will look into that more. Thank you.

You are correct. I posted to a Mahindra forum, because I am interested in Mahindra tractors. As of now, they are on the top of my list. You are incorrect in assuming a 35hp will suit my needs. A 35 won't budge my truck, or even things that I have pulled with my truck through the same terrain...

That M62 does look impressive. The bucket is definitely large enough for my tasks, but with only using the backhoe for small periods and projects, maybe I could get by with a smaller back hoe, as long as it would reach the depth I needed. Do you find your 3550 struggles with certain weights of...

Sounds like you could have skipped the thread. I'm asking for opinions of different brands, models, configurations, whether I may need a 75+ or if a 50 would actually suit my needs, etc. I'm learning there can be 3 different sized tractors in lineups with the same output. Thanks for your...

My primary use will be cutting the field with a rotary cutter, but I will definitely be using the front end loader for moving downed trees, brush, dirt, etc. There is always downed trees falling into a creek on the property and a good strong front end loader and a decent sized tractor would make...

Hi All. I'm looking for a good mid size tractor, with 4wd and front end loader. My main tasks would be to maintain about 24 acres, using a rotary cutter, box blade, etc, and also very interested in a backhoe attachment. The people that I know, tell me around a 50hp tractor would fit my needs...
