Going to change Hydraulic Fluid on Allis Chalmers B. What tool removes the plug............The plug to add fluid is an outty (Male) plug. The drain plugs are square inny (Female) plugs. Is there a special wrench or will a socket wrench do the trick?
I looked on TractorData.com and it says to use 140wt fluid over 32 degrees and 90wt. below 32 degrees. I have some to suggest UTF 20wt. What would be the best. I have 90wt in at this time and lift works but it is slow.......
I have a a 1953 Allis Chalmers. Does the hydraulic pump at the pto need to be primed for it to work properly? I added fluid because the lift would not work. After I added the fluid it works very slow if at all. The fluid is foamy and milky. Any advice would be great.
