Seems like you could tie into the pos. Feed to the first relay to a solenoid. Tie into the outgoing of the last relay for the other solenoid post. Activated with a push button from cab. I dont see how the computer would be affected as all the factory wiring would remain in place and the addons...

Recently purchased a 1981 case 580c. It had no forward when I bought it. Tried cleaning the screen and changing the fluid, kind of seemed like it had been tried already. Goes into reverse without hesitation.

I recently purchased a 1981 case 580c and it only goes in reverse. I have changed the fluid checked the pick up screen and still just reverse. I am looking at rebuild kits and wondered, given that it goes into reverse perfectly and without slippage is there any reason to replace the converter...
