I am a father of two adult children who are currently in graduate school. I have multiple graduate degrees of my own, that have absolutely nothing to do with what I do for a living.

I help out a friend with a hobby farm/acreage and maintain her tractor and do general farm labor for her in my free time - mostly clearing pasture land, maintaining fences and roads, mucking barns and the like - and mostly as a form of alternative exercise, rather as a means for providing for myself economically.

I have a full time job that pays my bills adequately as a television engineer for the state-wide PBS network.
