    Magnetic Cup Information

About 3 years ago, I bought a drinking bottle - I think it was called Stuck Cup - it has a magnetic base, is insulated, white in color with a pull up spout. Today, it had a serious meeting with my bush hog. I cannot remember for the life of me where I bought it. I know I learned about it on...

    Interesting Blowby Experience

Changed the oil and filter in my tractor the other day. After a couple of hours of bushhogging, noticed that I had an unusual amount of blowby coming out the vent tube. Only have 400 hours on tractor. A diesel mechanic friend of mine advised me to change the oil filter again. I put a new oil...

    Tracktor Shed

I recently built a 3 sided tractor shed with plans to use a tarp over the front opening which is 8 ft high and 18 ft wide. If I just hook the tarp across the top, I'll have to use a ladder to reach the hooks everytime I open the shed. Has anyone devised a way to roll up a tarp for this use...

    Pulverizer Use

Just built a new house and the lawn was sewn in winter rye. This spring I will have to sew a permanent grass, probably fescue. I have a friend who got a pulverizer with a tractor he just bought and I can borrow the pulverizer. My question is: do you pulverize before you sew seed or after or...

    Posthole Digger  Post Hole Digger

I frequently see the Leinbach L7300 and L7400 advertised at TSC, Corrihers, etc. Will either one of these fit and work on a compact tractor like my Ford/New Holland 1715? Thanks, Lewis

    Rear Shield

Made a rear shield for my 1715 to keep limbs, etc. from stabbing me in the back when backing into brush and to prevent bush hog from slinging stuff at me. Made from 3/16" steel with laser cut holes.

    Need a Better Seat

After spending the day on my tractor, my lower back hurts real bad. My factory seat has no lower back support and leans back too far. Going to be looking for a seat that is better than the factory one. Anyone have an aftermarket seat that is comfortable and gives good back support. Thanks, Lewis

    Markham Welding Tooth Bar

Went to Denton today to pick up my tooth bar and have it installed. They did a beautiful job. It fit perfectly and looks great. Used it for about 3 hours today doing some digging and grading and WOW, what a difference. I highly recommend these folks. Best $210 I ever spent . They make all...

    Howse bush hog

A few weeks ago, I asked for opinions regarding my possible purchase of a Howse bush hog for $485. I got it yesterday, put it together today and used it for about an hour. Worked extremely well and I couldn't be more please for the amount of money spent. Thanks for all the input - Lewis

    Tires  Filled Rear Tires

Really nice day here in NC - got the Ford New Holland 1715 out and did some work on my building site. After reading some of the threads here, checked the torque on my lug nuts - three of the four wheels were loose. Only had the tractor for two months so decided to check the air pressure in the...

    Bush Hog Question

I have the opportunity to purchase a new Howse 5 ft. rotary cutter ("bush hog") for what seems to be the very reasonable price of $485. I failed to get the model number but understand that it is their base model without chains. When it seems that most implements of this type sell for just...
