well part 4 of this experiance, , , was able to get a small engine mechanic over to go thru the unit 1- governor / choke / throttle linkage gummed up, as throttle increased, so did choke come on, , clean all an move independently now FINALLY got word back from KOHLER, their engines do run hot...

If anything, I 'assume' issue is either running too rich, or exhaust valve failure, , not real experienced with these type of engines, but, thats why I am posting here hoping to get more info than take to a shop which I can't afford to. Been off work for near 2 years and picked up this machine...
