After much thought, I went with a larger tractor with only the FEL. The backhoe was only a nice to have to me and not necessary. Figured can always ad a backhoe later to a larger tractor. Went with a 2610H. Great tractor. Very happy with it.

Lots of good points posted. Still mulling it over. Adding backhoe to the same tractor is $4600 more. Seems like a reasonable add. Only real trenching I would do is installing a water line to barn, but there are a couple of trees near the path I’m not sure this small tractor backhoe could get...

Backhoe is not a need for me, but would be a nice to have. I’m sure I’ll regret not getting it if I skip it. 😂

Looking at a Branson 2505H with and without a backhoe. I wondered if you all think the tractor would be easier to sell down the road with a backhoe? Maybe hold a bit more residual value with backhoe vs with just a FEL?

Would you all agree that a backhoe would increase resale ease (and maybe value a bit) with a backhoe vs without?

Agreed. I’ve thought about all the things I’ve done by hand or with borrowed equipment since we’ve been here and what I have planned a great deal. Put it all in a spreadsheet along with the estimated weights of everything i have and will deal with and nothing appears to be outside of the 2505s...

Thanks for input. The price seems right (little over 18K) on this particular unit although it’s a little hard to tell given pandemic supply chain issues. I will post photos if we move forward with purchase. I have several dealers around, but closest is about 170 miles away.
