I just purchased a KK 5' Finish Mower from TSC...The tractor makes a terrible grinding sound when the PTO is "ENGAGED" If the mower is not connected the PTO engages fine.The tractor is a Ford 1710 and I have adjusted the clutch.Now my question.......... With the PTO shaft connected to the mower...

The PTO shaft on my new KK finish mower is veryhard to turn by hand. The old Bush Hog finish mower I had used previously would turn very easily and the blades would spin.Curious if this could be causing the grinding sound

Have a Ford 1710 with 1500 hrs .When my new KK Finish mower is attached to the PTO, the PTO makes a Heck of a grinding noise when you try to engage it. With no mower attached there is no grinding. I have adjusted the foot clutch,and depress it as I try to engage PTO but no help it still...
