Is this sickle worth $1,950? And ...

... will it work on my tractor? NH's website says it weighs ~628 lbs, so it seems like it would work ... ? Does it require rear remotes? (I have none) It's about an hour & a half away. Is it worth a 3-hr round-trip to look at? Used 9 ft New Holland 451 Sickle Bar Mower Thank ya'll.

I've read that glyphosate breaks down rapidly & therefore is less harmful

I had 3 or 4 gallons of leftover glyphosate mixture sitting in my 25 gal sprayer from when I sprayed weeds 4-6 weeks ago. (I didn't intend to leave it in there that long, but life got in the way :o) I opened the tank yesterday, planning to pour it into a 5 gal container to store it ... it had a...

Want a "natural" barrier between me & neighbor

... & I think he would prefer the same. Our new home site (not yet built) is on 60 acres, but the small, only above-flood-plain area is close enough to neighbor that I can see his house pretty easily. I'd like to install or plant something on our side 15'-20' inside the property line that's very...

Can I cut my neighbor's tree branches that hang over my property?

Neighbor has a large oak close to our shared line, so its large limbs overhang onto my property. I want to cut the low ones so I can mow the fence-line on my tractor, meaning I want to cut them up to 8'-10' above ground. Can I do that without the neighbor's permission? Not trying to start a...

Changing blades on flail mower to suit conditions?

The "Y" knives on my dad's Caroni TM1900BSC result in a "good" cut but not quite great, & not quite equal to a finish mower ... which is what I'd like, if possible. I think that part of the reason is that the flail has less upward vacuum. And I think another reason is that the Y knives cut like...

    Owl in my cedar tree

Another shot of one of those 2 showing him looking backwards about 180-degrees. Sorry, sun was going down, plus it's a jungle, so pics kinda dark. Also there's the flash makin' 'em look evil - I'm no pro photog :o

Bird pic: A big, red-headed bird stopped by (a real bird, not a girl!)

My parents have a decorative statue of what I think is a sandhill crane inside their house leaning against a glass sliding door. Apparently this guy/gal saw it & took a likin' to it. Stayed outside looking in for quite a while, & didn't seem bothered one bit as I got within 10' for pics. I...

Pictures of all the various types of "pins"

There's cotter pin, shear pin, hitch pin, etc. etc. I certainly don't know all of 'em, maybe not even most of 'em. Sometimes I can't think of the name of one I'm trying to discuss. Sometimes I don't know what somebody's talking about when they mention one. Was hoping this thread could list them...
