    Wiggle Room on Dealer Pricing

It's been a long time since I've posted, but I found tractorbynet to be the best resource when I bought my Kubota M7040DT back in 2006. As it turns out, I couldn't have bought a more reliable tractor. I've been very satisfied with my tractor. Since then, I've purchased a ZG327 mower. I am...

    4-Row Cultivator Questions...

A co-worker of mine has offered me a JD 4-row cultivator. He'll be bringing me the books on the unit tomorrow hopefully, but I have questions to ask you all. What is a cultivator used for exactly? I don't want to sound stupid, but I know that since the advent of the rotary hoe, cultivators...

    Row hipper/builder manufacturers

I've been doing some surfing on the internet for a single row hipper that would attach to my 3pt. I drive a Kubota M7040 (68 engine HP) and was wondering if anybody could help me locate a manufacturer. Also looking for a 3pt. disc harrow as well as a wheeled drag type. Any help would be...

    Brand New M7040DT

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on an M7040DT with a Bushhog model 296 rotary cutter. Did the paperwork on 11/29/06 and had it delivered the same day. Just over 4 hours on it so far, but I love it. I'll post some pictures here in the near future if I get a chance. BC

    Battery Suggestions

A friend of mine has a JD 2020 and was searching for a good battery manufacturer for use with the tractor. Any suggestions? BC

    Green and Orange

Well, I've finally narrowed it down to a Kubota M7040F (2WD) and a JD 5303. I know I'm not comparing oranges to oranges here...oranges to watermelons, maybe. I got the M7040F priced. Comes with 2 remotes and the front weight bracket (which weighs in over 200lbs btw) for $20,250. I have quote...

    Fuel Tanks

I have a couple diesel tanks at the farm that haven't held diesel in a while and have developed rust on the inside. I plan on putting these tanks back into service and was wondering if the rust could cause issues. I will have a filtered pump on them, and the rust is not truly extensive. What...

Stopping blow-by shy of an Overhaul

Greetings Gents: I've got a MF 1130 that I'm having some blow-by woes with. It is not feasible for me to have it overhauled right now (big bucks that I don't have), but I'm losing a good bit of oil. What are my options for decreasing oil consumption? I was thinking of an additive maybe, or...

MF 573 and other new model line

Got a ballpark price of $20,000 for a brand new 573 basic model: One remote, 8x2 transmission and live pto...2WD. Located in Louisiana...what do you guys think? Seems a little steep to me. The dealer stated that the new 500 series boasts a new larger platform on ROPS models, but that only...

    MF 471

Are there any websites that have prices for a 471? Anybody else out there that has an idea of what a 2WD 471 would MSRP for or cost? Thanks. BC

    Case 530

I've been looking for a project here lately and really love the 60's model Case tractors. I've decided to restore/refurbish a 430, 530, 630, or 730; or maybe even one of the earlier 100 series or the 70 series machines. If anyone has one in decent shape, or knows where I can find one, please...

    New M-Series Price Check

Greetings: I was wondering if some of you who got quotes for the new 5040/6040/7040 Kubotas would be interested in sharing some of the prices you've been seeing, as I see that the price can differ substantially, even in the same geographic area. Anything would be a help. Please include...
