What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

Added some metal channel framing to the side of my forks so that there is something to attach the ratchet strap to. The straps help keep the logs in place where they are being moved from the lower field to the pile near the house.

What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

Over the past few weeks have gone through several iterations of my tool storage issues and think that I have it dialed in. Also got my winch mounted. Attached some metal channel framing (strut), AKA Unistrut or Superstrut, to the ROPS with some long U-bolts that I got from the Bolt Depot. Then...

    Buying Advice  1 GC23 purchase

Am in the final stages of researching the 1 GC23 to replace our 80s vintage Mitsubishi MT272 2wd tractor. The 272 has served us well over the years by cutting the brush, field and hauling logs. The biggest issue with it is that is having trouble hauling a trailer full of wood up the hills to...

    skidding logs

I do something similar when I drag Douglas Fir trees and it works great. I have also mounted a winch on the front of my tractor so that I can drag logs sideways to get them lined up for towing parallel to the path.

Looking for a MT372 transmission dipstick

I found another thread that showed the location of the oil check plug, second photo. I opened it and saw that water had gotten into the transmission and the oil was contaminated. After draining the contaminated oil I refilled it, per the owners manual, with 3.25 gallons of 80-90 wt gear oil. I...

Looking for a MT372 transmission dipstick

Have decided to make a dipstick. Does anyone know, or can measure, the distance from the top of the transmission fill hole to the top of the oil? Thanks in advance.

Looking for a MT372 transmission dipstick

The title says it all. Mine came with a rubber plug on the transmission fill hole but no dipstick.
