Looking at a new TYM T574 Cab model

Anyone suggesting a shuttle shift over hydro, either hasn't owned a hydro or recently had a brain injury, I know that will offend some people, but it is what it is. If you are only haying or something, probably doesn't matter as much. But for this size tractor I am guessing you are doing a...

What is better than a kubota GR2120?

    That's why I don't have one!

What is better than a kubota GR2120?

You need a ventrac. It's honestly right up anyone on this forums alley, just need a reason to own one. Get the double wheels and off you go! New ones can be remote controlled down the steep stuff even, they are really impressive machines. https://www.ventrac.com/

What is better than a kubota GR2120?

If you turn around slowly, and learn your machine, you can remove about 98% of any tearing on turns with a zero turn. On really wet days, well you can only do so much on hills I've found. But you are just mowing your own lawn, so there never should be a wet day mow. Just get a regular mower...

    Land plane Vs. Harley rake

I have found with the landplane, forwards for ripping/crowning and reverse for smoothing anything out. @TugHillDog I have that same issue with the york rake, but once I get a good set in the spring with the land plan, I can mainly just york rake after small storms and things.

    Land plane Vs. Harley rake

edit: I confused York and Harley this morning. I do not have a harley rake. I consider those more for fresh dirt type scenarios and not established areas or areas with gravel. I have both as well, started with a york rake but got the land plane two years ago. I find it helps a ton for...

    Loader Anybody put a larger bucket on a 2538 / 2638

I have found when digging into heavy dirt, stone or really anything solid....my tractor can't even get in there and over fill the bucket one bit. Sand is in that same group to me, especially if not covered and dry. How does your tractor handle full scoops right now with the original bucket...

Comparison Shuttle shift or hydrostat?? Is the extra costs worth it in a 50hp-ish cab tractor for pto power (brush hogging)

I don't know what you are talking about. I loaded logs into a trailer all week at 1200 rpm and they were frequently heavy enough to almost tip my tractor over. Yeah you need a little more juice, but you don't always need to be wide open. Maybe if you are doing heavy ground engagement work...

Comparison Shuttle shift or hydrostat?? Is the extra costs worth it in a 50hp-ish cab tractor for pto power (brush hogging)

I have a HST, but I've been using a M7040 for a few weeks with shuttle shift. I will never buy a shuttle shift after that. It's a great tractor, but the control is just not there for me. Maybe after a few years I'd not even notice, but the HST is such an advantage imo. I work in a lot of...

Are we OK with how bright headlights are getting?

This is really what needs to happen. Hopefully thats implemented soon, then in 20 years it will trickle down and benefit us as the average car is 12 years old :D I think the real high end cars are doing this or something like it now. The look at the white line doesn't work on me. I'm...

Help Request for M7040 or similar owner. Key related

So I am just going to wrap this up, I know you folks who helped don't need this information, but maybe someone in the future. I ended up taking the cylinder off the tractor, and a buddy says he can get the key out no problem from there. The locksmiths I spoke to, also wanted it off to take it...

Help Request for M7040 or similar owner. Key related

Well, locksmith failed, he got around the key but it wouldn't come all the way out. I have another key at a localish dealer I am going to pick up, the amazon ones had mixed reviews for my machine here. Right now I think I will try to unscrew the cylinder from the thing and get it out from the...

Help Request for M7040 or similar owner. Key related

I think I am going to call a locksmith, with my luck I'll glue the key in there as well. Good idea. It is an open station, I found some keys online and I've got them on order, I might see if the locksmith can make one too, or if its too far gone. Thanks!

Thank you for this information. Now I just need to get the key out. Strong magnet? I'll do some google as well. Thanks again. Edit: looks like their are kits for getting keys out, I'll order one with the extra keys and give it a go. Thanks folks.

Help Request for M7040 or similar owner. Key related

Hey Guys, I have a generous neighbor who let me borrow his 2008 m7040 and wood chipper (he gets the logs). As I was starting her up this morning, the key snapped off. I can get it running, and turn it off and on etc... But that's not how I'd like to return it. Was it was my fault or just a...
