Suggestions for light weight pallet forks

I know this is an old thread but wanted to update it with what I found. Redline Systems Inc. has some of the lightest light duty forks I've been able to find. They make them for the Kubota BX, but he will do a custom mount. 162 lbs with 36" tines pin on or 177 lbs with SSQA is pretty light...

    Bat Houses?

Sorry, can't resist. Vinyl siding, in the woods, nooks and cranny's everywhere, always have bats. Dusk to Dawn security light will attract bugs at night, which then attracts bats. PM me if you want the plans to build one.;) Leave a big enough hole, and they will even come in and live with...

What spray lube do you like?

WD-40 did work really well at getting the pine sap out of my living room carpet one Christmas when I was taking out our real tree and lost my balance and planted it in the middle of the living room. Then just soap and water to clean up the WD-40 spot.(y)

What spray lube do you like?

Tri-Flow. https://www.triflowlubricants.com/product/tri-flow-superior-lubricant-aerosol/ My draft inducer fan gummed up and stopped working after about 5-7 years on my furnace. Talked to HVAC installer and he said they had alot of problems with that motor and a new one was $300 and it wasn't...

    Eradicating moles

Just a reminder that it's time to start getting rid of your moles before they start multiplying. I thought I would add pictorial of how I use poison worms. Good Luck!

Stone dust for traction on ice

That's not a bad idea. I currently can't drive it in reverse because the teeth are cut at angles like a chisel. I would be a little nervous though pushing it backwards if it were to snag on something. I do have a few spots where tree roots are exposed in drive. Pulling it lets it jump up when...

Stone dust for traction on ice

I have a 6ft landscape rake and have used it before. What I found is that it works ok for lightly compacted snow, but not for ice. The ice was too hard for the wider tines of the landscape rake. I pulled it forward though not reversed. Pulling rake reversed, if I understand you correctly...

Stone dust for traction on ice

Similar here, except my drive is all uphill. I made what I call an ice ripper. simple C channel with spikes welded and 3pt frame. The tips are starting to round off, but have been using it for over ten years, but only need it occasionally when the conditions are just right to make drive ice.

    Starlink

This is disappointing, but not surprising. Does anyone know where StarLink reports data usage? I don't see it in the app. Sad to see SL becoming more like the HughesNet. They mention that 11pm - 8am wouldn't count as priority data. I remember the days of when Hughesnet had the night time 2am -...

    Starlink

MY system works a little different than this. I have Amcrest cameras and a Dahua NVR. My camera app (gDMSS) has 2 options to connect to my NVR. When at home and connected to the same network that my NVR is on, I can connect directly to it using it's IP address and not go thru their...

    Starlink

I would think putting sl in bypass shouldn't matter. My camera app has 2 ways to connect to cameras, local, when I'm on the same network as the cam, and remote, when I'm not on my home network that the cam is on.

I can't make it out in the pic., but does it say there may be an interuption every 17 sec.?

    Starlink

The dish does not track the satellites. It only moves when it sets its self up. The system is sensitive to obstructions. It will work, but will have minor interruptions depending on how much obstructions you have. My system was working acceptably until the leaves got on the trees. The...

    Eradicating moles

I look for an active area, (they have a tendency to re-use old tunnels). Then I take a dowel rod and poke a hole in a tunnel, (I try to put them at intersections/Y's for better odds). I cut the worms in half and put half in the hole and pinch the hole back shut. I then wait a few days to a...

    Starlink

Well I spoke to soon. Although, I did have a notification for a software update the past couple of days for the first time, so I'm assuming this was the reason for the reboot, but it still did it around the same time as usual.
