I have recently inherited a jd4300 hst. I have figured out most of the knobs and levers but the large pedal on the right side above the forward and reverse pedals (there is a large P on the pedal) just escapes me. The parking brake is a hand pull left of the seat an it activates the console...

My 4300 cuts the engine when forward or reverse pedals are pushed, also if I activate PtO for midmower. This all goes away after 30 to 40 minutes of warm up. So, hydraulic fluid change?
