thanks all, no not a safety switch. if safety switch I still would have dash lights.

when i turn ignition on, you can here the glow plugs - but will not run over, no lights on dash. battery is fine -have cleaned and re-grounded; have checked safety switches; can jump start at solenoid but does not keep running. have power to ignition, no power to fuel pump, no power to stop...
