Not sure if you bought them already, but another alternative is double ring chains. Usually cheaper than 2 link ladder chains, and will not fall between the lugs on R1s.

Try a rear like plow like this one. :thumbsup: Rear blade? I'm in NH too and snow like last weekend will overwhelm one of those.
