    Tips on loading dead tractor

Request a Mobile Tractor Service. They fix it at your location - unless it is serious work. The Mobile network is pretty large in my area and I never knew that was an option. My area current John Deere labor rates are: In-house Labor is $180/hr Mobile Service is $200/hr

Packing/sealing a gravel road after 'resurfacing' / land plane

Similar situation here - 1/2 mile. gravel sinks into rain soaked roads and disappears. I hired a skilled dozer to build 5 foot deep ditches to manage rain water. Ground water stays 3-4 feet below the road surface. The crown is never water logged. 30” Drainage tubes (culverts, tin horns,) are...

    Compacting gravel driveway

My driveway is 1/2 miles. After its laid, Gravel sinks and disappears when its wet and driven on. I had deep ditches built with tin horns/culverts installed in the low areas. Then 1 1/2” crusher run gravel was laid 5-6” deep with a belly dump truck. I spread it with my tractor 7ft angle blade...

    Help Bending Metal Back

Looks like the weld broke or was never welded correctly from the factory. Wrap a steel cable come-along around the two bars. Use a vehicle to push it back while tightening the cable. Then weld it back.

Buying Advice Tier V emission standards soon for new diesel engine tractors?

Look at airports from a distance of about 10 miles and you can see a large cigar shape of smog enveloping the airport. Although we all support clean air but lets be reasonable and realistic. Epa attacks those targets who can’t fight back.

    Suggestions on 20” pro saw

I Echo the Stihl Pro recommendation. I’m not a pro, but the differences pay off in the long run. I own the 261C and 362 both with 20” bars. The 261 is my go to for quick jobs due to the weight. The 362 is used for the larger projects and cuts noticeably faster. Both are great saws. My first...

Box Scraper Land Planes / Grading Scrapers

I use a 5ft box blade and 6 ft land plane. The BB moves material further before leveling. It leaves the grade a little lumpy - this is a bit of user error. I don’t raise and lower it slightly as the grade changes to keep it smooth. Because….i then use the land plane. It leaves my grade smooth...

    2006 MF461 4x4 w/ FEL - is this normal?

This is an awesome tractor! I question whether the 4x4 is working correctly. Since this is my first tractor, I am not sure what is normal operation. It pops out of 4x4 sometimes. It usually occurs under fairly heavy use when I am using the loader on flat silt terran. It has 35 hours of use.
