2000 to 2500 seems to be the consensus that I have received from this question. I think I have settled on the Tar River SAYA-505 since the empty weight is 1,036. Should work for the small areas that I'll be planting.
After looking at all of the no-till drills, I'm leaning towards the Tar River SAYA-505 due to price and weight. It looks like the empty weight is 1,036, and I'll only be planting an acre or two at a time so I wouldn't be adding much weight in seed. I'm thinking that is my best bet.
I have been trying to find the lift capacity of my grandad's IH 404, but I haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone know the lift capacity? Or the weight of the heaviest attachment that they are using with theirs?
