    Clarkson’s Farm

I see what you're saying. It is 1K acres, but the fields are small, 50 acres +or-, so turnaround space is important. And the tractor doesn't fit in various places he needs to go and so on. In the US, it probably wouldn't seem excessive, But the hired hand's tractor makes a good deal more sense.

Any ideas what this is from?

So, like I said it's at my mother house and my sister said there were no holes, but now she's not so sure, so I suspect you are all right that it's a whopper spigot for a barrel of something. If she can find it again (packing up to sell the house) she will send me a photo of the other end, and...

    Clarkson’s Farm

We are enjoying it. The tractor is a bit silly, but it's all Clarkson.

Any ideas what this is from?

I would have thought there would be a hole in one end of the other for it to be a spigot.

Any ideas what this is from?

I don't have the thing at my house - my mother is selling her house and my sister found this in the basement. I don't think it's part of a yoke or harness because it appears to have only been attached at one end. The center parts turns.

What was you experience with Dog rescues?

We have fostered more than 200 dogs over the years. Some for as little as a few days, others for a couple months. Most were English setters - failed hunting dogs, but we fostered so many different breeds (including everything from pit bulls, Rottweilers and Dobermans to Papillions and yorkies)...

    Restorations

I always like to hear that old machinery is being put back into use or at least display. It's such a shame to see it rot. Good going.

    Little hanging corner cupboard

Since I can't go buy more lumber, I decided to build a hanging corner cupboard using the scraps of pine I had here and around. =AZViZ8jlW6-13W4useVmChPKQc1OD3yhbjyWW0sW_bED9WBFqTklQZkPcNC2MqeJKEmXw4lRGgr458ynCCpsWFuZ3F7Rgg9RohPeZwJay9b1DpmXvo1AW8ILN0_1m5dCJz4&__tn__=*bH-R']...

    Fluorescent light question

The double fluorescent light fixture in my garage has a failure. Both tubes light, but only at half (or less) brightness. Does that mean the ballast is bad, or does it mean one or both bulbs are bad? I guess I could replace both bulbs, but I rather not if the ballast is bad anyway. Cliff

    Caulking tip.

When your caulking your siding in oddball spots, wrap you index finger in blue painter's tape and just spread the caulk with your finger. This works well on small cracks and splits that might later turn into large cracks and splits. You can work some caulk down into the crack this way. When...
