I thought all you Oilfield Hands and others would enjoy this.
As a side note, during the War, anyone working on Oil Rigs was exempt from the Draft and was required to stay on the job as long as required. If a hand didn't show up for work, the Sheriff was dispatched to find out why.
THE OIL...
Here is the first page of my invoice. The next pic is of the rail and you can easily see the rust. The last pic is of injector #3.
I have been researching some sort of water sensor that I could install somewhere in the tractor fuel system. It seems that these fancy tractors would have a...
I agree that a 'water in fuel' warning light should be on these fancy tractors. I also just recently had a $10,000 repair bill on my Kubota Grand L6060.
My base model Bobcat T550 skid steer with a Kubota engine has automatically shut down on me because of water in the fuel.
I haven't read all 1400 posts in this thread, but, what are lumber prices doing now? Have priced peaked and starting to come down? Or, are prices still rising?
I will be starting on a 30x20 enclosure to add a office/kitchen to my shop in about 2 weeks.
I just finished reading most of this thread, but mainly the posts by the thread starter. AKForest
I recently had a somewhat similar experience with my Kubota L6060. However, in my case, there were obvious fuel problems. And I did not have to change the ECU. But it did take about 2 months to...
I have been fighting fuel issues for years. I do have the Goldenrod filter on my nurse tank. Today, I will try to find their 'water block' filter. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Here are a couple of threads I started in the past concerning my issues.
The mechanic did tell...
Like the title says, water in fuel caused me a $10,000 repair bill to my 2017 Grand L6060 with about 1200 hours on it. The water caused rust in the fuel rail which caused damage to the injectors. I have had fuel problems with this tractor since its new.
I have a 100 gal. nurse tank that I use...
My wife works at a tractor dealership. A few years ago, a guy came in and bought a new zero turn mower. A few days later they discovered his check was bad. The mower was about $5000.
After a few phone calls, the mower was located at a pawn shop about 30 miles away. The boss called the pawn...
The L6060 I am getting does not have a loader either. At this time, I need the rear remotes more than I need the loader. I already have 2 tractors with loaders and a skid steer.
I did talk to several dealers that said the same thing, that loaders are hard to get right now.
Luckily for me, the...
I've been pricing a new Kubota L6060. There are a few around, but I need remote hydraulics for the attachments I use. None of the dealers have, or can get the remote hydraulics to fit the L6060.
I'm surprised that some feel the R14 would be less aggressive on fine turf than the R4. Looking at them, I wouldn't think that would be the case. They seem to be described as a hybrid between an R1 and R4, and I would think the R3 (turf tire) would be the least aggressive on the fine turf...
Does the tractor have any factory warranty left on it?
A few days ago, I almost purchased a used Kubota L6060 from an auction company in Texas. But, when I asked my local dealer to look at the Kubota service records, he could not find the serial number in the Kubota USA system. It turns out...
I've been pricing tractors lately, and it seems there are no Front End Loaders available. There are a few tractors, but no loaders.
I am also a dealer for a line of turf equipment and I asked the manufacturer this week about the availability of a verticutter. He said next April or May. They...
