    Boosting question.

So definitely the battery was the issue, it was bulged quite a bit and frozen solid, the mechanic replaced it and the tractor fires right up easily and now recognizes when a booster is installed (you can see the voltage change)

    Boosting question.

It’s an IVT transmission so sadly that won’t work as far as my knowledge. I’m definitely doing some testing today to see but like Hoss710 said I’m sure it has an internal short which like mjw357 mentioned the bad battery is still in the circuit so it’s basically a big resistor, my truck had the...

    Boosting question.

It’s cause of how big this battery is, it’s quite a large battery with 2000 cca If I didn’t have back issues from an accident I would definitely do it myself but the battery is on the frame under the cab and you need to remove the right step to get access to it and then pull it out of a tight...

    Boosting question.

I only have 1 tractor and the 6130R has a huge battery that I can’t swap with anything, it is definitely a steep price, it’s $900 for the battery and the rest is labour to install cause I have to remove the entire right step to get to it and then try and lift it out of the compartment it sits in...

    Boosting question.

I won’t have to move it until tomorrow to feed the horses so I may do a quick load test and put it on a charger to top up the charge and pray to the diesel gods, lol.

    Boosting question.

Question is what’s the problem that even John Deere Mechanics aren’t finding? It’s a IVT so as long as it’s in park it’s ok and all the safety switches are working. It starts just fine on warm days and when the battery is charged, it’s just when the battery dies and needs a boost that it acts...

    Boosting question.

Yes, I turned it over and it cranked then slowed down as the battery lost its charge. The ground did have corrosion but I got it all cleaned up. I checked all the fuses and fusible links and relays and all are good. Removing 2 bolts and I can get access to my starter, I’ve never boosted off of...

    Boosting question.

Hello I have a question about boosting that no one in my area can’t seem to have an answer about. My tractor is dead and it’s really cold outside so it needs a boost. I have several high end booster backs that can start a dead semi and I have my ram 3500 to boost from, but no matter that I...

Opinions about John Deere's decision to do this.

Hello, I have a 3046R (with the deluxe cab) and am quite surprised at what this little tractor can do. One thing though that baffles me is the rear SCV's and why John Deere decided to go this way and other peoples opinions about this set up. I have 4 scv's in the front for the loader and...

degleman plow blade info and tips?

Hello I got myself a 9' Degleman plow blade (tractor frame mounted) with high capacity wings for my 6125R I was wandering if anyone has used these blades and if so could give me their opinions/reviews about them plus if anyone can give me tips on using the blade for things like snow removal...

    Loader position

Hello, I've been seeing this more and more and am trying to figure out why people are doing this and what the advantages and disadvantages are to doing this. Putting the loader all the way up in the air while working in the field or traveling on the road. I was always taught that you keep...

Rear blower on front 3 point hitch?

Hello, I was contemplating on putting a 3 point hitch on the front of the tractor with a front PTO, my question is if I got a 3 point snow blower could I use it as a front mount snow blower? Could it handle the stresses of being pushed rather than pulled? Thank you. Corey

    Crazy question

Was talking with a friend and I made the comment that I want this snow to go away so I can go baling again and he said I want to do it so bad that he could see me out there baling the snow, we both had a huge laugh about it but then it got me thinking, out of curiosity is it possible to bale...

    ECU Error code

Hello, I started my tractor up today and was letting it warm up when I got this error code on the display: ECU 101.00 Engine System Crankcase pressure high. Engine power limited. Check blow-by filter. When I got this code my rpm's dropped and the tractor started idling really rough. Thinking...

    Dealing with high rows

Hello, I've been reading about when using a blade the edges get high and can cause drifts, I am now experiencing the high edges causing the drifts and am wandering how you guys deal with it? Do you just remove the top to lower the edge? Or do you remove the pile all together making the drive...
