What have you done to your Branson today?

I had a heck of a time getting the right belts to fit my tractor too. It took multiple trips to the store. You can't necessarily go by the size printed on the belt (all belts with the same LxW dimensions seem to be the same), and there usually isn't as much room for belt adjustment as you'd like.

What have you done to your Branson today?

Yes, I have cleaned the filters. Didn't seem to help much. Tinting the windows is a good idea. I will look into that.

What have you done to your Branson today?

Several years ago, I was having trouble with my fuel tank vents plugging. Someone on this forum suggested that I install inexpensive fuel line filters on the end of the vent lines to keep critters, dirt or whatever out. (Gee, I thought it was you, Lou). My tractor has separate fuel containment...

What have you done to your Branson today?

I had thought of that, but the aluminum crimp section is partially worn away from it rubbing against the hood and I am not sure it will re-crimp. Actually the JB weld seems to have worked. However, I am finding that on a 100 plus degree day, the AC just doesn't have enough oomph to keep the...

What have you done to your Branson today?

This weekend I fixed the AC on my 4720CH. The high-pressure hose out of the compressor was leaking because the hood was pushing down on it when closed and I didn't notice it until I tried my AC, it didn't work and I started checking things out. I could tell it was leaking there because of oil...

    MF135 Alternator Conversion

I agree with Harry. I have never seen an alternator upgrade that doesn't require fabrication or modification of the tension arm and/or mounting brackets. A pulley change is often needed too. But in the end it is worth it.

Cleaning vs. Poking holes in DPF filter

I gutted mine years ago. The only difference I have noticed is a little black smoke for a few seconds after starting it cold.

    Hydraulic Fluid Choices

Maybe I am wrong but it seems to me like people are overthinking this. There are a multitude of transmission fluids that have worked just fine over the decades. There are improper fluids but many proper ones. Nothing has changed in transmission and hydraulic systems that drastically changed...

Right to Repair - manufacturers obligation

The "right to repair" argument is much more about manufacturers trying to make their equipment in a manner that leaves you no choice but to come back to them for maintenance and service. Sort of like being forced into a shotgun wedding with a greedy SOB. If a company that hasn't gone out of...

Cold starting a to 35 w/ Standard diesel

Yes, It has been converted to 12 volt. It also has glow plugs which I had to replace and re-wire several years ago. There is a plug for an intake manifold heater but I don't have one for it. I keep the battery on a maintenance charger at all times during the winter months which helps in...

What have you done to your Branson today?

I would think that would depend on how frequently you use the winch, and for how long. If it is just used occasionally, the one battery will work fine. If you plan on using it regularly for hauling trees up hills with chokers, maybe two batteries may not even be enough.

    Compact tractor options

It seems that some people think that a tractor company that has been in business forever, makes 100% of their own tractors and parts, doesn't form alliances or have mergers with other companies, never changes their business structure, are only made in their idea of acceptable spots on the globe...

    Cool Nature Photos

My Daughter and I rode past that place this summer on a motorcycle trip. We both noticed it. One always wonders about the history behind such places. You live in a beautiful, underappreciated part of the State, 3 Horse!

    3 point lift question

Yes It does have a draft control. Moving the draft control to any position doesn't seem to affect the operation of the three point. I do have the factory service manual. If one can understand their wording of how to adjust things, they are a better man than me :). The youtube videos were...

    More residential well questions

I honestly had never heard of them, but you are right, Steve, But as I do a quick research, many people say that the quality of a single phase vfd is considerably less than a 3 phase vfd. And I know from experience that 3 phase vfd themselves vary considerably in the quality of the sine wave...
