Sorry. I need to fix my notifications. Didn't see you replied. So you have split the back hoe and have the reverser on the bench? Just so you know, the reverser is the large cast iron housing bolted to the engine. It's a 400lb behemoth that requires hours to pull. If you do, there is a lot...
I'm beginning my search for a TLB. Looking for one for general farm use. I have been around tractors and farm equipment my whole life and consider myself a pretty good wrench.
My experience with backhoes has been working in construction when I was younger but generally just used them. Never...
Right above the yellow arrow. Sits above your right foot as your sitting on the machine. If you look carefully you can just make out the plastic fuel bowl......
The rear wheel wells on my 01 F150 Supercrew are in superb condition (fiberglass). The rocker panels, not so good.
Everything seems to rot in Ohio. I could have slowed it down by continuously washing the underbody all winter but I didn't.
It does have 170k being used as a truck not a station...
After looking at smokers for quite a while, we decided to build one. Turned into a real project but it works well. You can do the hog in the horizontal side and cook a side dish in the vertical side.
If you are talking about removing the front drive shaft on a Beaver, I just accomplished this about 6 months ago. We removed lower housing below the trans. With the shaft still attached. Just unbolted from the front diff.
Then applied LOTS of heat. It's splined, no magic. Just really tight...
I have been doing some research and can't seem to figure this out.
I have a Lincoln Idealarc tig 300 300(single phase). Recently, I was given a Hobart Rc200 (three phase) with a 17 feeder on it. I don't have access to three phase.
I have considered building a single phase to three phase...
If the price is right and the truck was well cared for, they will pull 5000 lbs, locally. I have owned the 4.6 and the 5.4 liter trucks. Honestly neither are really awesome at towing. When I borrow my fathers 05 Chevy truck I realize what a dog the 5.4 liter is. But, I tow regularly with my 01...
My 254 came with 11.2 / 10 - 24 turf tires. R1s are on it now. Still have the turfs on rims if I need them. 46 sounds about right. A four foot box blade just clears the tires.
Took this while burning brush, last fall. With the tires loaded it does pretty well for a two wheel drive.

I have an older 4x2 Gator. It runs great and saves me a ton of work around the house. It even gets out on the farm to help sometimes. Since I have owned it, the rack and pinion has been acting up. When I turn all the way left it "skips". Guessing it is a bad tooth. Before I break down and buy a...
I normally eliminate any coons that take up residence near my house or barn. If I can live trap I will but they need to move further away. We were tearing down an old barn and heard some noise in the walls. Found these little guys living in there. I just left them alone until the next morning...
We are in union county, just west of Columbus. According to the weathermen we had over 80 mph wind also. House and building are intact, no damage. With the temps we have been having I'm kinda glad the pool survived also. My metal gazebo bit the dust though. It was so flimsy I didn't have to use...
I work in Columbus, Ohio. We saw the same storm but before 5pm. Lost power at work. Got everything shut down. Heard in the radio that the airport just north of work (Don Scott) reported straight line winds over 80mph. Came home expecting the worst. My house takes the brunt of west and northwest...
