Finally had a day to finish up the welding on my new landplane. This was a great project and look forward to getting it painted and up to the farm. Total cost $480 in steel, $160 for blades plus about three days work for me. Used both Mig and Stick welding. Farmed out the holes on the...
Afternoon #1 of grader project started with a visit to the steel yard where I picked up materials using Gordon's list. $460 which included probably $50 of extra materials for another project. Back to hangar to unload and begin. Pulled out the plasma cutter and first made the 3x3 triangle cuts...
Here is what I was able to do on mine. When welding the expanded metal, just wash the puddle on to the wire or else it will melt thru. I have also used thick washers to hold the expanded metal and weld the washer to the frame.
Kubota MX 5100HST. DISCOVERED TODAY the spline that connects both lift arms has one end with a chunk broken out. Lift arm is off shaft (spline) and hanging loose. Looks like I'm going to need to get it in to dealer. 380 hrs. Can't understand how this happen unless it got loose and slipped off...
My lift arm has slid off the spline at the end that attaches to the tractor. What keeps it in place. I have looked at Messicks diagram but still do not find anything that holds it on.

Planning to put in about 800 feet along a county road with two gates in the line. Going to use barbed wire. Anyone have a good design for H-Braces made from square or rectangle tubing.
I've been wanting a 3 pt. log splitter to run on a MX5100 Kubota. Read almost all the threads here and know to expect it to be a little slow. My spec show pump capacoty 9.5 gpm with power steering 4.9. Am I wasting my time think this will work? I see much smaller tractors using them on...
I have a MX5100 with one factory rear remote. I use it for a hydraulic top link. I want to add a second remote to the factory base. I have read a need a L8306 and a L8303. I have not experience in installing this and cannot find a picture of the parts to understand how they go together...
I am researching to buy an ssqa adapter plate (weld on) for an old pallet fork that I want to convert. It will be used on a Kubota MX5100 FEL. Anyone have any experience with the one out there on the market? What thickness do I really need? Just plan on moving no more than 2000 lbs and not...
