Silly question, went to drain my Transmission oil on my Massey 1529, and the drain plug started to round off. I immediately abandoned the mission before it got real bad and ordered an Irwin bolt grip socket to try and remove it. So, is an impact gun a good or bad idea to use ? I haven't tried...

I love my 1529 but the manuals method of checking the front axle oil level seems IMPOSSIBLE to me ......anyone else here feel the same way?? Also my manual lists 2 different engine oil capacities, 3.8 qts on one page and 3.3 qts on another 30 pages later ( both say crankcase and filter)...

Hi all, on my MF1529, got done blowing some leaves with the PTO driven blower( about 1.5 hrs) , shut off the control switch then moved the selector lever back to neutral.....10 minutes later decided to blow some leaves next door and cant get the selector lever to move from neutral to 540 to...

just has some surface rust, not all welded up like some I saw for 5-$600

after waiting patiently for a brush hog, I finally scored this M5 Dixie cutter from a neighbor for $400 !! Got a couple hours on it and runs great!!

Just thought i'd get some thoughts on this. if I have the opportunity to find a used one theyre usually a fixed cutting edge. I'll mostly be doing medium duty repairs to driveway and access to woods for firewood....

I know theres tons of threads on this already, but just looking for weight advice. Im rebuilding my carryall on my MF 1529 with a 1200 pound loader lift capacity. Ive carried a garbage can with sand in it mounted on the carryall but may switch over to a concrete base and a couple 5 gallon pails...

Anyone have experience with the Pallet fork add-a-grapple from Precision MFG? No clue on the price,just looking for feedback.They also have a 3rd valve kit that looks easy to install......thanks for any input!

just changed the oil on my 1529, got this tool after the first change. worked with an extension but as Williambros said a swivel would probaly help

picked this up last winter,finally gettin some use!
