    Getting ready for Texas fires

Looking for ideas on preparing for possible wild fire. We live in an area that is ready to burn at any time. We were short on water long before other parts of the state, trees are dying, grass dead etc. I am looking for things to do that might help our house survive. Short term and long term...

    Thank Y'all

Just got home from four month RV road trip and found pond DRY. Got in some seat time, cleaned up bottom and got about two more feet of depth. Noticed steering jerking and lift stuttering at low rpm. TBN to the rescue again. Thirty minutes later, problem found on TBN, confirmed and hose ordered...

    Just Watching and Waiting

Sitting in RV in Rio Grand Valley and have been entertained watching heavy equipment. They are adding some dirt, spreading, smoothing, packing etc. on a levee. All ok till this afternoon. Not sure what the angle is on the sides but I do know I would not run my Bota along the sides. Using big JD...

    Odd/Even teeth in bar?

Markham about to build one for my 60" fel. Understand that usually means 5/odd number of teeth or one in dead center of cutting edge. Since I plan to lift things and put hitch ball in center for dumping trailer, should I add or subtract one tooth to free up center? Planned major use is digging...

Box Scraper  Repair Box Blade Rust

Acquired BB with significant rust-thru at bottom 1.5 inch edge of side plate at cutting edge. Has hinged rear blade so I only need to worry about front cutting edge. Don't think a picture would show much. Anyone repaired similar damage?

    Pull RV wiyh tractor?

Want to move 20' RV around yard with tractor. Hitch weight is within tractor spec's but max weight is WAY over with RV empty (2,000 vs 4,000 # plus.) Would that max be more for brakes? Only talking about 200 300 foot moves

    When is Reverse Forward?

Pushed my Bota a little to hard and managed to leave a little brown spot on her wrinkled seat. Same old process, dig hole around tree-cut roots with axe-push tree down with Bota-fill hole and burn tree. Seems I was pushing her a bit to hard and maybe didn't have RPM's up enough. Anyhow when...
