    1500D oil presure

I have put about 300 hours on my 1500D and had installed gauges early on. It always ran about 65psi cold, 50/55 psi when hot around 2200 rpms. Around 1100 rpms when it was idling it would see 45 psi. Recently the gauge was acting up and giving odd readings. I swapped it out and was still...

    new member with yanmar problems

I think the hose was 1" and the heater may have been 1 1/4". Its been a while since I did it so I don't remember exactly. Looking back I should of kept track of the parts used. It was all off the shelf items at TSC. The hose is bigger than the original hose which is 3/4". It was one that...

    48 Farmall H leaking coolant

I recently purchased a 48 Farmall H. I ran it yesterday for 15 minutes when I noticed coolant leaking from the overflow tube. The temp gauge is not working but with a temp gun the back of the head only read 144 F. I'm trying to determine what to inspect/replace. Not sure if it has the right...

    1500D head gasket

Morning all. Just looking for any advice on replacing the head gasket in my 1500D. I started getting coolant in the oil the other day. It seems that a stud may have loosened in the cold weather. The head is off and I have checked it with a straight edge. It checked out straight. At this point...

    Yanmar 1500D Green

Best picture I can get right now. The plate the hitch is on is the plate that seals the axle housing.

    Yanmar 1500D Green

Here's what I did with mine. Notice I left the jack under the forward part of the transmission just to be safe. Pay no attention to the removable brake cover in the picture. Are you going to be replacing the bearings and seals for the axle while you have it torn down?

    yanmar ym1500 update

billymc, is this what the back axle looks like on your 1500? This looks like a green Yanmar but appears to have a red rear axle setup. http://www.ustrading.net/Yanmar_1500green_hitch.jpg If you could take a picture of your back axle that would be helpful to see the differences between the two...

    770 dipper piston bent

Hi all. I'm usually in the Yanmar section. I'm trying to figure out why my friends 770 bh dipper piston keeps bending. She has used the tractor plenty but recently has been destroying the pistons. The first one bent slightly, the second one turned into an S shape and the third has a 45 degree...

    PTO shaft removal on 1500D

Sorry Winston1 I should have mentioned that the PTO cover was already off. It's the reason that I wanted to change a damaged washer on the shaft. So tonight around midnight I got in there with a pry bar. I know this might sound like a bad idea. Hitting the end of the bar with my hand I was...

    PTO shaft removal on 1500D

Does anyone know how to remove the short PTO shaft that runs through the rear axle case? It is number 45 in the picture. I'm trying to separate it at the collar (number 43). There are no visible lock rings outside of the collar. It looks as though there may be a snap ring inside the collar...

    1500D axel case leak

While you are planning this project it would be a good time to change the hydraulic fluid and clean the hydraulic screen. There are two drain plugs for the fluid. Not sure if you already know this or what maintenance you have already performed on the tractor. It might not be a bad idea to...

    1500D axel case leak

So here is a pic for you. It just so happens that I have mine off to replace some wheel bearings. There are four studs in the center and four bolts at the corner. These are drilled through into the axle case so you may be leaking from the threads. There are 2 alignment pins which I don't...

    1500D Modifications

Here are the pics of the light assemblies with the 100w bulbs. I was right the first time when I said they were 100w :confused2: The relay is from NAPA and has dual 87 poles. Made it easier to power each light. It is controlled by the factory headlight switch, using the original wiring...

    1500D Modifications

All the dynamo is now is a pulley for the fan. The wires are disconnected. I removed the original dash light long ago when the gauges were installed. The new light is now on the lower part of the dash (see pic). Looking at the wiring schematics for the Suburban, the factory wire runs from the...
