My RK 37 detent is difficult to 'disengage'

Sorry late with a follow up. After further review looks like the joy stick was the problem. I contacted RK tractor guy and right off he tells me (email) there are no repair parts so I need to buy the joy stick control. Well it's almost $200, so I get it apart and find the bolt holding the...

My RK 37 detent is difficult to 'disengage'

Thanks... I checked hydraulics, nothing RK 37 specific so I contacted the RK tractor guy. I'll post my findings.

My RK 37 detent is difficult to 'disengage'

It goes into detent (float) just fine, but taking it is is a bear. The hydraulics are cable activated. So much so it moved the control mounting locking bolt. One bolt puts the control handle in a pivot mounts and the other allows for an angle adjustment via elongated hole. My old tractor (JD)...

    Some basic torch advice

Never lay down acetylene tanks when using them. Try gas and O2 as low as you can and increase from there. I usually start with 3lbs gas 25lbs. O2 I also prefer smaller tips. Remember it's not a gas axe. If you see and orange/red flame at the tip... the set up is wrong. Check valves (mentioned...

    Meg-Mo blades

Do you do destructive testing for a living or is this from published data? I'd like to see your sources if that's OK. Thanks

    Meg-Mo blades

Blades get paper thin from the (Florida) sand. The grass is (mostly) Pensacola Bahia. Broad bladed low profile pasture grass, tough and cuts well. My issue is mostly wearing out blades. I sharpen with a grinder as needed, maybe 2X or 3X, before the blades are wore out. My finish mower isn't the...

    Meg-Mo blades

I looked at the other threads and like most... it wandered off into the weeds. Yep the posters talked about 'em, how they were made, can make 'em my self, hate the web site form etc., but actual experience was limited. Most were turned off by the price. I hope to get some real world, actual...

    Meg-Mo blades

Has anyone used these and can report on their experiences? "They say" the blades will last 8x longer (not sure I believe that) and keep the spindles on a finish mower deck from being damage. They're expensive relatively speaking, but if they last longer ( I go through two sets of blades a year)...

Real estate values are going absolutely crazy!

All the 'circumstances' that led to the housing bubble in 2008 isn't present now. Completely different set of dynamics. People have money and willing to spend it, lots of cash buyers, and existing homes are 'currently' in more demand than new, due to the cost of labor and materials.

Shed for storing diesel. Cheap floor that will contain spills.

Plastic kiddie pools work in a pinch. Put the barrels on piece of plywood so it doesn't poke a hole in the plastic.

RK 37 HST 50 hour initial service

Who's done their own 50 hr service on their RK37 HST? Interested to know if you went to/with RK for parts and lubricants, or did you source them else where? Did anyone send off the oil for analysis to Blackstone Labs?
