    Purge hydrolics

I recently replaced a short hose on the front loader of my 2910i. As it was above most everything, I lost very little fluid when replacing it. I've got air in the system and it will not purge on it's own. Everything works but there is a hesitation when first started and jumpy thereafter. Any...

    Black (Melanistic) Fawn

Pretty rare by most accounts. I've only seen one other and it was not as dark.

Industrial's on the front and Ag's on the rear?

Will it work on my Branson 2910i? I'm on my 2nd set of front (ag) tires and the rocks are chewing them up. Also they seem to puncture easier. I'd rather not spring for the rears as they are still in good shape. If the outside diameter is the same then wouldn't they work? I would buy the...

    Prairie Chicken

I cut down a spalted hackberry to find a prairie chicken... seems like there was a cartoon with a character like this.

    Rotary Cutter vibration

I've got new Ag Meier Brave cutter and it's got some noticeable unbalance. Being only a 48" I was surprised. I don't think it's enough to hurt anything so I might just wait until I replace the blades. Would it pay to remove the blades and weigh them?

    2910i Coolant

The owner's manual says to change the coolant and add corrosion inhibitor every year but doesn't way what kind. It's green so I assume it's the old type, adequate for cast iron blocks. Any suggestions on corrosion inhibitor, brand of coolant, etc. would be very helpful. Water pump lubricant?

    Sweeper magnet

I'm doing some clean-up on a new property and rigged up this 6' sweeper magnet on the 3-pt. It works great as adjusting for ground clearance is easy and precise. It picks up pretty much everything on the surface but will not pull much out of the dirt. I'm after nails, screws and other tire...

    New Rock Bucket

I bought this Armstrong Ag rock bucket to help with clearing prickly pear and of course rocks. I'm hoping the teeth on this bucket will grab the pear and tear them out by the roots. My regular bucket just slides over them. This is their smallest at 60" but a hefty 600 lbs. It's designed to sit...

How to start a chain saw

This allows the "2 handed" pull for faster starts. Disclaimer... That is not me, I still prefer the 1-handed pull with the saw firmly planted on the ground.

    Pulling T-posts

Does anyone know a trick to pulling T-posts? I'm removing some old fencing with mostly steel posts. The best method I've found so far is pulling them with my bucket. I tip the bucket back, drive up till it bumps the post close to the top and then tie off a short chain. I just drop a hook on the...

    Ag-Meier Brave

I bought an Ag-Meier Brave brush cutter yesterday. It was pricey compared to some others so I hope it's worth the extra money. Anyone here have one? The dealer is one of my accounts so you know it was one of those deals based on loyalty rather than value. It's only a 4' but that's what I need to...

Prickly pear - Tordon 22K or Surmount or what?

I'm needing to find the best prickly pear killer available. I would like something that mixes with diesel. I know diesel will get good leaf penetration and not cost too much more than adding a surfactant for water mixing. This will be totally spot spraying plant to plant with a hand sprayer.

    Solar Battery Tender

Any recommendations for a good solar battery tender? I'm thinking one of the solar gate opener charger units should work because they use a car battery but I'm sure someone has one for keeping tractor batteries charged. I don't have power nearby and am having to run the tractor at least every 2...

Very funny - if it's not your finger

One of my employees had a woodworking hobby which required a number of different power saws. I'd guess that the Table Saw has caused more accidents because of the sometimes exposed blade. Dick was distracted for an instant and ZING &$%#@, half of one finger and the tip of the next were gone. He...
