    JD 5205 Seat Replacement

I went to the dealership first to see what they had to offer and they pulled one out from stock. Supposedly OEM John Deere. When I unpackaged it I noticed it didn't have John Deere across the seat back. Since there was no noticeable difference I went with the Amazon unit for a little less money...

    I found a legit 19.5” traction tire 450/550 4500/5500

Yes. Able to rotate them with all same pattern. Seems to help extend life and combat any cupping. No complaints of vibration and didn’t notice any the times I have been a passenger in one of them.

    I found a legit 19.5” traction tire 450/550 4500/5500

We switched to those on F550/F600 bucket trucks. Trucks are loaded pretty heavy. Getting about 15,000 miles out of them. Very good offroad traction. Noise not too bad.

    2008 JD 5303 Hydraulic Question

I have noticed with a heavy implement on 3 point with tractor off it will start leaking down. The hissing sound will return again when bumping lift lever down. Have gotten some feedback on that from others that had same issue and what they did to fix it. Can’t recall off from memory but was a...

    2008 JD 5303 Hydraulic Question

I have a 2008 JD 5303 4WD with JD 522 FEL. One known issue is 3PT lift will after a few minutes begin “hissing” when lift handle is raised to full lift height. Bumping lever down a little makes noise go away, but will begin “hissing” again after a few minutes. Periodically adjusting lever...

    JD 5205 Seat Replacement

Looking for feedback on seat replacement for 2004 JD 5205. Have read some have went with units from Tractor Supply. Some satisfied. Some report not enough cushion in seat. This seat has some spring left, but nothing like the seat on my 5303. Have read some comments about replacing just the...

Good catch. I noticed that too. I checked my 5303 to see if it was the same and it was. I put the 5205 on the same way/direction.

I like the telescoping ends. My 5303 has fixed ends. I bought the Pat’s set up for it and wound up taking them off. Was nice for connecting to the implements, but I wound up having my rotary cutter come off several times on one side and couldn’t determine why to stop it from happening.

    John Deere 5103 wont start

Have had two issues cause this in the past. One was the battery completely dead. Could not jump start. No turning over or clicking or anything. Second was the cold start advance failed. This caused fuse to blow. Disconnected cold start and replaced fuse and fired right up. This issue the...

John Deere 5205 Top Link Repair

Was able to dig into this a little more this evening. Bigger vise, little penetrating oil and cheater pipe allowed for backing both ends all the way out. Turns out there was a roll pin in each end, but was able to back all the way out anyway. With more penetrating oil was able to thread both...

John Deere 5205 Top Link Repair

After closer inspection last night I was able to determine that it does appear to be going "in", but not far. After removing the plugs I could look through the holes and tell it would go back in enough to block them. Movement may be 1/2" to 3/4". I don't care to spend several hundred dollars...
