Hi gang, wasn't sure which forum to post this in because I built the soil strainer a few months ago and just got an early Fathers day present (the load handler). I build the strainer to filter topsoil and decided to try it out with gravel getting out the 2" + rocks. I wanted to lay down a...
Hey gang I need some input here. My neighbor just got his hands on an older JD model 494a planter. It didn't have the hydraulic cylinder needed to raise and lower the wheels. They want to pull it behind their pickups and asked me about using a electric cylinder to do this. I don't know squat...
Hey gang I have a country lawn....(read lots of clover) and I want to try to control the dandelions. What can I spray that will kill the dandelions but leave the clover alone?
TIA
Hi gang, I have been looking at the Deere 46 backhoe and the woods model that fits my 4110. I am wondering if anyone here has experience with both models to help me compare. I see that Deere is rated a little higher in capacity and the sales guy claims the hydraulics are alot smooter than...
JD 54\" bucket cubic yard capacity
Hi everyone, I thought that I remember seeing some place that the cubic yard capacity was 1/3 of a yard. Do any of you know if this is true?
Well I had a old dead tree with about a 24" girth that I cut down. The root ball and stump that is left I can't pick up with my JD 4110. I have dug down so that I can push what is left into a hole and I should have almost 3' of soil on top of it. We plan on planting 2 Quaking Aspens that we...
Well I finally got my accessory lighting installed and had some time to work after dark last night. I needed to use the 48" KK XB box blade to drag some dirt to fill some low spots. I was surprised to see that I could drag that box blade with it full and material spilling out over the sides...
Hi gang, got out of work early today and had a chance to check all the fluid levels, grease fittings and hardware. Dealer had it all set but I always double check. Her she is waiting to work
Check the link below to see the pics of some of the slopes I have to deal with here.
I have to...
Just picked up my manuals for the loader and 4110 tractor. For the 2210 I thought the warranty for everything was 24 months. I see in my 4110 manual that it has a powertrain warranty that goes to 36 months. Is this something new or did I just not read my 2210 warranty correctly?
Well I did it. Signed the papers during lunch today. I am keeping all the implements I had for the 2210 and using them with the 4110. I did get the 200CX loader, tires filled, 5 suit case weights, Power Beyond and folding rops. I might get the 48" frontier BB also since deere is offering...
Hey gang, I am finishing working up the final details with my dealer for the 4110. I want to have rear hydraulics and be able to control the rears while still using the bucket. My salesman hasn't sold a set up like this on the 4110 and he is checking to see what I need. Have any of you done...
Hey gang, trying to find out the lift capacity of the 200CX loader on the 4110 tractor? Looked all over the deere site and didn't come up with any info. Would apprecitate some info if you guys have it.
TIA....
Hi gang, just wanted to let everyone know how well I have been treated by my JD dealer in Mason Michigan.
I have bought 3 new JD tractors from them and in every case I have found the service and sales to be great. They have always come to my home to make repairs when possible and picked up...
Evening guys and gals. I finally got around to starting on guage wheels for the land scape rake. I have over 4 acres to rake the rocks out of and level for planting trees and pheasant forever mix over the next weekend. I welded some 2 1/2 x 3/16ths' tubing to the rake to make a receivers for...
I finally got around to doing something about a stand this weekend guys and gals. I have lots of lumber left over after building the shop and home. Steel is expensive so I used it instead. Works great. The top 2x sits between the two uprights and when the PHD is hooked up and lifted you just...
