I had the same problem with my 2000 tc29d. It turned out to be that the ignition switch was loose and instead of going all the way to the start position it stopped short.
For @ the same money you can buy a ZTR. One thing you need to under stand if you have a loader on the tractor it will be in the way when mowing in tight places. From experience you would be happier with a separate mover then having it as an attachment to the tractor.
I think you are asking for a lot of headaches. You would be better of taking a hydro pump and drive motor from a salvaged combine along with the oil cooler and hook it to a standard truck transition with a transfer case and use independent diff locks. (look in to how the guys build rock crawlers)
Have you thought about installing in a backup camera that will point at the rear blade? They are cheep and you can wire them to stay on all the time. That way you can monitor the blade by looking at the screen when looking forward.
I remember when this same topic was discussed 30-40 years ago. In stead of 58mpg it was @ 30. and everyone said the same thing that it was impossible. That was when the cars from the big 3 were averaging @ 15mpg. With the target set it pushes the car companies to look for ways to improve...
In 2000 I bought a New Holland tc29d in 2001 I bought a new car both cost about the same. The car lasted until 2011, I still have the tractor and it will be with me for another 20 or more years. If you buy the right tractor for your needs you will not be concerned with deprecation because you...
Matt it all depends on if you are only going to mow with it and have other means to remove snow. For just mowing you can not beet a ZTM but if you only need to do other thing with the unit a tractor with a drive over mower deck would be best. That way you could add a front mount snow blower or...
If you are not familiar with running a tractor I would suggest one that has Hydrostatic transmission. You should get at least one rear remote but 2 is better and cheaper if you get it at the time of purchase. A font end loader is a must. A good suspension seat either spring or air adjust. As...
I sure every pit has stories of someone showing up with a F150 and a 5' x 10" dump trailer and want if filled full with rock and get blamed for the issues it causes to the truck or on the road.
I have a New Holland boomer with a 72" belly mower and just switched to a Cub Cadet Pro-500 z-turn with a 60" deck. I switched because the New Holland is heavy on the lawn and you have to be real carful not to tare up the lawn. That beaning said the boomer is a lot more conferrable to mow with...
