    GX345

Good evening folks, My first post in the JD L&G forum. My property is fairly steep and demanding on a mower. I've gone through 2 "disposable" hydros in 7 years. Time to move on to better things. Many hours of spec and review reading, research and soul search brought me to seeking an X540...

    PTO Seal 2810HST

Drips just enough to make a mess. Is replacing as simple as it looks like it would be, i.e. drive the front end down in a ditch, remove the top link bracket and remove the PTO seal cover? Any special tricks to getting the old seal out? Thanks.

New oil takes the tears away...

Some of them at least. Last time I changed hydro fluid on my 2810HST I had caught a stick and ripped off the suction line on Staurday afternoon. Picked up some house brand that met spec, fixed the line and back to work. My hydro cries like everyone elses. IMO the benefit is more than...

    Considering a BX1500

I'm pondering a serious upgrade in lawn equipment and have found a nice looking BX1500D with 300 hrs. within driving distance. Priced at $5500. The math sound fair to me but admittedly I have not beeen looking for long. Not sure if the deck is 48 or 54 but doesn't much matter either way. My...

    Yet another generator quandary

I'll begin by explaining I've long been wanting a better yard mowing solution, something 4WD. Most of my yard is fairly steep. My 48" Craftsman has done the job for 8 years and probably could for several more, just have to be aware of where you are and where you're going. The little sealed hydro...

    Compressed Air Piping

I need to run a couple of air bibbs around my garage before closing in the interior walls. I can't, or more more specifically do not want, to bore through my corner posts or LVL support structures so it's over the top and back down. Hard pipe like galvanized is out, got to have something...

    Garage project

Here's a couple of shots of the progress so far. She's closed in now except for the plastic over the upstairs windows. This is how it sits on the site. Now maybe my "match the existing elevation" answers make more sense. A little more framing and the circle tops will be ready to go in. The...

    Forks  yankeewarehouse clamp on forks

These things look pretty well made. I weight 210 and cannot put enough pressure on the end to make the spacer hit the cutting edge, the tooth bar carries it all up to at least there. It's not a replacement for the real thing and will never be but for someone like me that's begining a major...

    Backhoe  2810 HST Backhoe

Hopefully some of you guys can help me out with this decision. I was at my dealer's today picking up some filters. I've wanted a frame mount hoe from day 1 but just couldn't justify it. During the conversation I asked about a hoe and he took me to a used Mahindra (Bradco) hoe that came off a...
