Your full reply came through via e-mail even if it didn't post. Thank you! (y)
So far, I have not had any trouble (post-adjustment) wherein the clutch doesn't fully disengage... so I'm hoping it is not the bolt problem you have experienced.
Am I measuring clutch pedal freeplay correctly...
Second problem this spring: My clutch isn't functioning smoothly/properly. I am having trouble getting into gears and switching from forward to reverse, etc. The machine is a 2004 Mahindra 4110 with about 500 hours showing on it. And yes, I am probably guilty of riding the clutch too often at...
I did what @skipmarcy said to do and all is well again! (y) Less than $8.00 and I'm back in operation again with no leak. Only issue left is how to support the metal in-line fuel filter permanently so that it can stand long-term vibration and not droop down onto the battery terminal. :unsure...
Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound very encouraging for my leak situation. I guess I better be prepared to do the same if it is the filter housing. :(
If I do that, I'll want to put a shutoff valve in the line from the tank. Did you do that too?
I was doing some rotted tree & log moving work right before the leak started, but I think it was age/weathering and my own neglect that may have started the problem. I have had fuel leaks before. Time will tell as soon as I can pick-up a nice, bright work light and see exactly what's going on...
Okay, mystery solved! :) The "off" position is the middle or 9 o'clock position of the petcock handle. All the way up or down on the handle is open. (y)
Now, I can relax until I can get in there with a bright shop light and see exactly where the leak is coming from.
Actually, that (handle at 6 o'clock) is in the operating position (or at least in the position in which the tractor had been running trouble-free pre-leak). What I don't know is what happens with the handle positions at 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock. Is one a vent position? Or just an off position...
I would hope that is it. (y) My more immediate problem is that the darn thing is still leaking, so it would really help if anyone knows the valve position that would stop fuel feed to the filter... and if it is a hose leak, which side is leaking?
Too bad for me that I had just filled...
Made quite a mess on my garage floor, the result of a leaking fuel filter or possibly a leak in one of the connected fuel lines... can't tell for certain yet.
Can someone please explain to me the filter connections and positioning of the attached valve so I can start to trouble-shoot this leak...
Hello all - Long time no post! :)
I need some advice in regard to an older power rake for sale near me.
We desperately need a power rake to work the soil around our new retirement property. Our contractor did close to nothing with the topsoil, so it is all rocks and weeds right now. Somehow...
I'm sure this question has been asked many times before, but I can't seem to find the answer: What is the Italian-made brand of quick couplers used on Mahindra/KMW loaders? I know that both the older ones (like on my ML112) and the newest ones that I've been able to check still use...
I'm back after 8 years away from TBN to ask one very important (to me) question: What size rotary cutter should I buy for my Mahindra 4110?
Here's the whole story: The good wife and I finally bought our retirement property... 6 acres of old, mostly cleared farmland an hour west of...
Stopped by a Mahindra dealership today (which shall remain nameless for the time being) and had some interesting discussions on several topics... among them, my perceived lack of power at times with my Bradco 509. The owner of the dealership then proceeded to tell me about an alternative...
Anyone out there use one of these flat-head bits with their pneumatic, hand-held air hammer for removing large, stuck backhoe pins and similar:
