I wonder if the jam nut on your hydraulic bypass adjustment could have been loose allowing the adjustment screw to back out. In any case the next thing I'd look at is getting a hydraulic pressure gauge and seeing what your bypass is set at.
Just saw an AGT mini-x on the Gold Rush Mine Rescue series. At the very end of season 4 episode 4 there were pictures showing what looks like probably a little 1 ton gas unit feeding a little trommel. First time I've seen one in use for something other than just homeowner or farm use. Will...
That was my first thought too except he said the machine "stalls out" sometimes. I take that to mean the engine literally is working too hard and stalls under the load and I think upping the system pressure would only make that worse. If by "stalls out" he means the hydraulic bypass is opening...
Interesting. Even with my hydraulic pressure set at 3000lbs I can run the little briggs in my Typhon at just over 3/4 throttle and it barely buckles down when I pull on a rock hard enough to hit the bypass.
Is your engine struggling to keep up with the demand, or is the engine staying strong and your just running up against the hydraulic pressure bypass? I ask because I have been digging in rocky soil lately and was getting nowhere. The engine was running plenty strong but I'd pull on a rock and...
I saw three MP46's sell a few weeks ago for $6750, $7250 and $7750. It was only a 2 hour drive from me too but I resisted the urge to snatch them up. It wasn't easy. 😀 I also saw a 3ton NT30 with Perkins diesel go for $11k.
Yeah that other thread about the filter was from when I added one to my Typhon. I actually just added a cooler to my setup this past Friday and was going to make another thread for that but I'll just post it here instead.
Here is the cooler and fan I used:

Has anyone found a duct that can be purchased for the 13.5 briggs motors? I've looked a couple times but have not been able to find anything. I have thoughts about making one but that takes more time than I have to spare right now.
