    Camp property search

I have a place on a lake in north central Minnesota. 12+ years ago, a lake lot when for sale, 200ft frontage, but shallow lot, very close to me. Crazy high at 359k asking price. Sat until two years ago, sold for $359k. The owner owned it outright and waited for their price, paid a few...

    RTV - X1100C

Set up is placing too much stress on the rope, by pulling straight back to lift. I did the same thing initially, snapped the cable. Added a pulley, solved the issue. I now run with a synthetic rope.

    RTV on Tracks

I have those same tracks on my 2017 x1100. Love them. Wintertime use only, for plowing and on the lakes for ice fishing. There's a lot of surface area with them and can float over a lot of snow. The tracks also provide a lot of traction for pulling ice shacks, so long as it's not glare...

    Disabling GM Active Fuel Management

Update, I did find that the disabler I posted at the start does not work on the 2025 Silverado I purchased. I would need this one: https://www.rangetechnology.com/products/afm-dfm_disabler/parts/RA007 It's new. I called and they stated it was just finished testing in the last couple of...

    Disabling GM Active Fuel Management

Curious if anyone has disabled their AFM (Active Fuel Management) on their Chevy or GMC trucks. I purchased a 2021 Silverado during the chip shortage in the days of Covid chip shortages. I really liked that my Silverado did not have the AFM as they didn't have enough chips to activate it...

Do You Have a Tractor Shed/Barn?

Built a Pole Barn 6 years ago, uninsulated, concrete floor, 40x72 fourteen-foot walls. Two twelve-foot doors and one ten. Keep a wheel-house (icefishing), tractor, RTV and trailers inside. Boats in the winter. I read on a thread here once, that you will pay for a pole barn whether you have...

How many acres do you own?

We've got 70 acres, abutting to our 1.5 acre house lot. The 70 acres is used primarily for hunting. 30 acres of grass, half of that, bluestem. 3-acre and 1-acre food plots and 1/2-acre garden. 25 acres wooded, with a 10-acre pond in the middle of the woods. We spend pretty much each...

Where Does Your "Handle" Come From?

Bought my first 60 acres of hunting land, just referred to it as the "hunting land", then bought 40 acres north, called it the "North 40", bought 30 acres east of the 40, and called it...... the "EAST30".

    Will UAW Strike?

    Recent Kubota RTV 1100C deals?

I was a UTV novice 6 years ago. It takes a bit to learn how to drive them. I looked at all makes, and then bought my 1100c. I too like many at first, perplexed by shifting and speed, at times. Once I started to listen to it, in high and low, and understand the hydro transmission it became...

    House Build 2023

I have double doors in the front of my newer home. Absolutely love them. Especially for moving furniture in, and the aesthetics from the road on a larger build. It's in northern Minnesota, and don't notice any colder floors than a single door.

    New Home Build

Finished my retirement build 18 months ago, fully contracted out. Just showed up on weekends to check on work. North central MN. We had owned the land for years prior. Fully insulated poured concrete and conditioned crawl space, 4 feet high. Four bedrooms, three and a half baths. Single...

Placement of doors in 40x60x14 workshop

HA! So true, I have three doors on my 40x72 pole barn. All on the non-gable side. It's the only way it would work, without a lot of extra excavation work. If I were to do it again, I would have done it differently, knowing what I know. But never having a steel roof and new to pole barns...

Inflated Prices. Buying Used vs. New.

I felt the same way a few years ago, spending $23k for my x1100c, with a set of tracks. Couldn't believe I was spending that much money on a UTV. I wondered what was wrong with me. I'd never owned one of any kind prior. Within a couple of months, I knew it was money well spent. As of...
