    You "Road" Your Tractor?

I have a Kubota M7060HD12. I load it onto my gooseneck trailer and tow it 9 miles to a new property every weekend, unload it, use it, then load it up and bring it home at the end of the weekend. I do it my myself and get it done quickly. Most of the 9 miles is on a two-lane state highway. I...

Learning how to drive with a trailer..

I have a Kubota M7060HD12. I tow it on small winding country roads almost every weekend for the last three years. When I tow it, it usually has a grapple on the front and either a bush hog or tree saw on the back. I have a Ford F-250 with a gooseneck hitch. My trailer is a Big Tex 14GN (20+5)...

Best way to clear unwanted trees from pasture

I use the LT3200 Tractor Saw (TurboSaw) made by DFM. It is designed to cut at (even slightly below) ground level. It cuts with 10 carbide teeth attached on the edge of a heavy metal disc. Never need to sharpen. The teeth are square and one of the four sides of each tooth is actively cutting...

Post #200 on page 20 shows stumps cut at ground level. I will need to take some pictures of rotting stumps.

Best way to clear unwanted trees from pasture

Trees cut flush to the ground with a TurboSaw on the back of my tractor. Stumps were painted with Garlon 3A, which kills the roots and prevents regrowth. Bradford pears have shallow roots, so hopefully and holes left after the stumps rot will be minimal and can be filled in with dirt.

Best way to clear unwanted trees from pasture

It's been very long since I posted an update. Fifty acres; about 35 acres of pastures and 15 acres of woods. The 35 acres of pastures were not maintained for decades by the previous owner. We have the pastures cleared but are still waiting to build a house and barn (COVID, worst inflation in 40...

Placement of doors in 40x60x14 workshop

Hmmm, good point about a lift. How about one door on each of the gable ends, which would provide easy access to both ends of building and driving through if necessary. Then put a third door on one of long walls dedicated to car lift.

Wow, that's a lot of doors! Great idea for moving lots of equipment in and out.

Our snow is limited, but occasionally we can get some heavy snows. Good point about snow and a door on long wall.

Good points. I'm leaning towards doors in both ends. Can access both ends of building, breeze on hot days, leave room for stuff on long walls.
