How many hours on your TYM

T254, bought used (and abused) 4 years ago, 2014 model. Currently 650 hours. Have replaced rear seals, battery, changing oil regularly, did the 500 hour service a couple years ago. Need to chase some electrical gremlins. (i.e. glow plug timer is up to 13 seconds from 9 even with warmer temps we...

Turn Key to start, no click

Ignition checked out fine. Temps warmed up a bit and it started like it should. When I'm able to get it in the garage I'll just disconnect clean and reconnect the electrical connections, check grounds, etc. Had my glow plug timer failing to turn off yesterday, even after I turned off the...

Turn Key to start, no click

I guess Saturday and Sunday were flukes. Another question. There is a "safety unit" part #11106642001 mounted just in front of the radiator. Of course can't find anything that would tell me what that part does. Will be warmer on Friday and Saturday so I'll clean up all the electrical connections...

Turn Key to start, no click

On Saturday I got underneath and squirted some WD40 on the brake "safety" switch. I cleaned what I could access on the plunger and the switch itself and worked the pedal vigorously. I also put a small squirt into the ignition switch as well. Sunday morning it was 12°F and the tractor started...

Turn Key to start, no click

I have a T254 about 11 years old, 516 hours. I have this intermittent no start problem in cold temperatures below 10°F. Turn the key to preheat and the relay will click, light on the dash comes on, 10 seconds later you can hear the relay click again, light goes off. Turn the key to start and...

    BX2816 Snowblower

I also have problems getting things lined up with my Berco snowblower for my tractor. The machining of the holes are a very close tolerance so getting them lined up precisely to punch them through is fun(?). A bright light and a magnifying glass helped me see better. Was still a lesson in...

    For those with block heaters

I use my "husky" timer. I run an extension cord into the garage and plug it in when I go walk the dog in the morning. 45 minutes later we get back, I go start the tractor. Haven't had any issues for two seasons. I live in Michigan's Copper Country and as long as Lake Superior is still open we...

    Need help leveling a tm60 on a Tym TM25.

I have the same issue with an older T254 and mm60 mower. There's a nut on the j-hooks that I tightened and got it close. But is looking like I may need to engineer a solution as the new parts I bought didn't change anything.

    You Have a Cab?

I spent 25 years using walk behind snowblowers. At my business I have to blow the snow north which is usually into the wind. Would have to tuck the chin and just take it as the wind threw some of the snow back at me. Couple years ago I picked up a used TYM sub-compact. Got a Bercomac snowblower...

Tractors and wood! Show your pics

The evolution of my methods of blocking my firewood is nearly complete. I started by cutting on the pile itself, rolling logs, pinched blades made the job interesting(?). I got one of those gadgets that has the metal V and chain you hook over the end of the log. Was much safer but required...

    Flail Mower search for parts

Got a new rotor from Messicks. Apparently this was made by Caroni or at least the rotor fits. Was a bit taken back by the price until it arrived with a new set of flails. Now I have a back up set as well.

    Rear Hydraulic Remote T254

I'd be afraid if I cut a hole in a vinyl cab I would only be inviting more problems. Your set up is pretty ingenious. I have decided to try a loader valve with a 3rd spool. I'll run hoses back to the hydraulic toplink. May even convert the deflector on the snowblower from electric to hydraulic...

    Flail Mower search for parts

Currently at one of my local shops, just trying to have plan "B" in place.

    Flail Mower search for parts

Picked up a used FL-165 flail mower at an auction (no brand identification on it). Got it home to find out I have a bent rotor. It looks like it could be an Ironcraft (same look and color) but there is only the serial number sticker on the machine. The Ironcraft have 24 weldments on the rotor...

    Rear axle seals replacement

Can you get a parts diagram? Helped me a lot when I did my TYM T254's rear seals. Also, mine had 6 bolts and couple of pins to line the housing up. Took off the wheel and housing bolts, lightly tapped the flange for the wheel working around it and was eventually able to gently/firmly wiggle it...
