I have an CC1862 with a Kohler motor. Yesterday when I tried to start it, it would backfire severely when it would try to start. It sounded like a 12 gage going off. Is this a timing problem? How do I adjust it?

Hi guys. I have a Cub 1863 with an 18 HP Kohler. I am going to change the PTO clutch this spring. Is it a hard job? Or is it as easy as it looks? Anything I need to know? Tricks? I appreciate anything you can give.

Hello all. I have a Cub 1863 that was given to me by my Dad. It cuts lawn beautifully. But, the PTO is always on. Therefore, it starts hard. How can I check if the problem is the switch versus the PTO itself. If I unhook the switch, would that normally cause the PTO to shut off? I'd appreciate...

My PTO is stuck on. When I flip the switch, I can hear a noise. But, the blades continue to run. The switch does have to be in the off position to start the tractor. BUt, the blades are engaged still. help!
